Top Drawer can also prep your drawers for a variety of File Bar applications. The standard slot is 1/8″ wide cut at either 1/2, 3/4 or 1 inch down. There are standard file bars which run front to back and lateral file bars which run side to side. Our standard spacing is 12 1/4″ for letter and 15 1/4″ for legal folders. We recommend a 10″ tall drawer and an allowance of 3/4″ above the drawer for the files themselves. Center dividers are also recommended for lateral slots that exceed 24″ in length. In addition TDC will also supply 1/2″, 3/4″ or 1″ aluminum file bars cut to size for your drawer.
